If ONLY regular unleaded STILL cost that much!
It's 12:30am, september 1st. I just drove by the Exxon down the road. The parking lot was still packed with a line of cars extending onto the side street. Vehicles all lined up trying to get one more tank for under $3/gallon. Right across the street another gas station had plastic bags wrapped around their pump handles. Down the road a mile or 2....same thing.....Are they emtpy? Or are they saving what's left for tomorrow and the labor day weekend? When they begin to gouge their prices. Ops, I mean when the market forces them to raise their prices. Gotta love economics!
I've said many times it is a shame our vehicles don't run on milk. Before too long milk will be cheaper by the gallon. Unless it is already....it could be...by now...or.....right NOW....prices change as fast as the stock market ticker on my aol instant messenger.

In other news: The establishment that hosts tuesday night trivia has implemented a new ritual. Each week the winning teams will have their picture taken and members' names recorded to be featured in the Commercial Appeal newspaper. Hoorah! *groan* With a false appearance of glee and cooperativeness Evil Petting Zoo agreed. Next time...we will not use our true names. Somtimes change can make one feel uneasy. Perhaps it will be harmless. Then again it could be a step in the wrong direction.
When it comes to trivia I consider myself, as well as my teammates, rooted in tradition, anonymity, and complete domination of our trivial peers.

that's enough for now. I'm going to bed to dream about the good ole days when I could buy gas for 75 cents/gallon in 1998.

I paid 2.89 for regular last night in McEwen. I read on the net that the price will be above $4.00/gallon soon. Sometimes I wish it would just hurry up and get to $10.00/gal. Maybe that would keep people from just cruising around all the time. I'm working days now and I can't tell any difference in the number of cars on the road. What is the magic number to keep these crazy people from just driving around? Stay home people and save your money and read the bible!!

In Michigan gas is 3.19, 3.35 and 3.49. They expect it to be over $4.00 by the weekend and supposedly we will be out of gas in two days...nothing like getting everyone in a panic, is this the end of the world? Why are there so many disasters all of a sudden? It will be hard times for the whole country for awhile, be thnakful for what you do have....
